Celebrating 50 + years of Pop Warner volunteer service in our communityCoronado Pop Warner (CPW) has been around since 1969! We are a character first association dedicating to serving the youth in our community. CPW's mission is to offer every child the chance to learn, play, and enjoy football, regardless of their abilities. Our aim is to prepare our athletes for high school level competition, while prioritizing academic excellence through minimum grade requirements for participation. We place the highest importance on our core values of sportsmanship, respect, and superior work ethic.
Pop Warner Non ProfitCoronado Pop Warner (CPW) is a non-profit organization chartered under the Pop Warner Little Scholars program offering tackle football (ages 7-15). We are part of the Westcon Pop Warner Region, a geographical division put in place by PWLS. Without our region, there are several leagues. Our league is the West Coast Conference (WCC). There are ~25 teams across the broader San Diego region in the WCC. We play against other WCC teams.
Boundaries
CPW serves the communities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, and parts of South San Diego. The WCC considers families residing in Coronado and Mar Vista High School boundaries to be part of CPW. Participants outside these boundaries can still play for CPW but we encourage you to check with us first by sending your exact address since you may technically need a boundary waiver. Similarly, participants within the CPW boundaries must obtain a waiver from CPW to play for another association.
